====== Marathon (2026 Video Game) ======
**//Marathon//** is a PvPvE extraction/arena/party/dating sim/first person shooter for the [[playstation_4|PlayStation 4]] that was developed by [[bungie|Bungie]] and released on 5 March 2026. It's an accurate retelling of a race that the director participated in his senior year of high school. The game has unfortunately performed poorly, only making one Thanksgiving school marathon's budget worth of profit.

Part of //Marathon//'s failure is attributed to the baffling decision to release it exclusively on the PlayStation 4 instead of its successor which has already been established for years. Another reason is the fact that it has too many genres in one, making people move to the much more focused [[arc_raiders|Arc Raiders]]. This has prevented the game from doing a collaboration with the very beloved [[hunt_down_the_refund|Hunt Down the Refund]], as the level of prestige between the two does not match.
