He is a very odd rock with the ability to detect different types of bananas underground. The kinds of hidden bananas he can find also give temporary special powers. This very attribute is what causes [[bananza|Bananza]] to kidnap Odd Rock into helping him on his intergalactic heist.

Odd Rock is considered to be one of the best side-kicks in gaming history. He is often praised for how compelling his character arc is, where he learns to stand up for himself and gets on Bananza's good side. Unfortunately, this popularity has led to an ongoing lawsuit filed by pro-gamer [[billy_mitchell|Billy Mitchell]] due to the character allegedly resembling his likeness.
