Half-Life (Video Game Franchise)

Half-Life is a series of first-person time management games created by Obsidian Entertainment. The first entry was released for the Atari Jaguar in 19 November 1998. They feature main character Gordon Freeman, rookie waiter of the restaurant Table Negra, on a life-changing journey to become employee of the month. With his new work friend Hatsune Miku, he must learn how to satisfy customers in tight time limits, defeat rival restaurants, and prevent the Resonance Cascade (an event that makes food fall from the sky, rendering all restaurants useless) from happening. The newest entry in the series, Half-Life: Dual Override, was announced at The 2025 Game Awards with a release year of 2027.

Part of Half-Life's popularity is attributed to the iconic and hype quotes present throughout the games (mostly in the climax), such as:
