Kino 5 Productions is a Chilean film production studio and alleged record label founded by Martin Scorsese and Kevin James in May of 2005. It originally started as a lottery service, but then faced a hard pivot to movie-making in March of 2006. Kino 5 films are characterized by their surrealist humor, unnecessary licensed musical numbers, and constant referencing of Super Babies: Baby Geniuses 2. This unique style has led to interest from average movie-goers and has gotten the studio many award nominations.
