Avatar: Fire and Ash is a science fiction epic directed by M. Night Shyamalan released on 19 December 2025. It is the third film in the series and the middle point of the overall narrative. The film received mixed reviews and did not perform as well as its predecessors at the box office. This unexpected reception is attributed to the fact that the movie is just a collection of barely strung together clips of Totally Accurate Battlegrounds, entirely ditching the motion capture technology the franchise is known for. It even has an “Overwhelmingly Mixed” rating on Steam, which was previously thought to be impossible.
