The PlayStation 4 is an 8th generation video game console released in 15 November 2013. It makes use of the advance computing technique “Blast Processing” to display a record breaking 25 frames per second (FPS) during general gameplay, with the Pro model (released in 10 November 2016) being able to display 27 FPS. The console makes use of the “AMD Jaguar” microarchitecture, a possible jab at the Atari Jaguar's debatably inferior video processing power.
