Hidetaka Miyazaki is a Japanese game designer and film director born in 19 September 1974. He is the creator of every soulslike game in the planet. His films like The Emoji Movie are known to push the boundaries of cinema, often considered the soulslikes of movies. Miyazaki is also the only game designer in the world to get a significant amount of write-in votes in the US Elections (about 14.7% of the popular vote), despite never having been involved in politics publicly.

Miyazaki was born and raised in a poison swamp area. He cites having a great childhood there, and so in gratitude he has added a poison swamp level in every video game he's ever directed.
